When arriving to Zavalatica, vineyards cover the field around Čara showing the long tradition of wine-making in this area. The most notable is Posip wine, and there are many local wineries and unique wine tasting experiences for enjoying this beloved white wine.
Explore All Sides of Korcula Island
When heading to the East, a short drive takes you to the medieval city of Korcula, one of the most popular spots on this part of the Adriatic. Because of well-preserved city walls, it is often referred to as “Little Dubrovnik” and the bustling Summer vibe feels inviting to spend a day in its streets or checking the local restaurants. Korcula town also has a couple of beaches just outside the city walls, great for a quick refresh. Do not miss to experience the Moreska sword dance, a traditional performance which has been passed down from one generation to another. The world-famous explorer Marco Polo is believed to have been born on the island.
Other notable spots in this area are the island of Badija, with a beautiful seaside promenade as well as the pebble beaches. Further to the East, you will find Lumbarda, where the popular sandy beach Przina is located.
When heading to the West, the linden tree alley of Blato and the seaside promenade of Vela Luka are notable spots for exploring, as well as many coves around them, with smaller pebble beaches and restaurants making them ideal for a day trip.
